The Foutleys may not be like the Griplings but they show us what a real family is supposed to be.
The Family History[]
The Foutleys are just like... well every typical low working class family. Not so popular or rich for that matter but they are known for their smarts of enjoying the simple things in life.
The Foutleys are totally opposite of a very well known rich family the Griplings. The Foutleys are just how everyone in high society views (like Miranda and Joann Bishop) them as plain, rude, boring, wannabes and fashionably disaster along the house they live in a trash nightmare. But deep down inside they are a very loving, caring, courageous, intelligent, and wise. While the Griplings are a well behaved, well mannered and very well fashionably dressed family this causing other families to be envious of them, however deep inside the Griplings are actually snooty, rude, self centered, and full of ignorance.
In fact, Ginger the lead character always dreamed of having the life that the popular school girl Courtney and having a well behaved family. But after what happened to her house and what her family had said about their secret lives on live TV, Ginger got her wish as she decided to stay in the Griplings mansion, however after staying in their home and noticed how the family never actually spend time together as a family. She finally realized that what she had after she was born was perfect.
As the series goes by we get to see a lot of imperfections from the Griplings as the family tries to have a "perfect" life but due to that had caused the Gripling kids a few knowledge of the real world especially Courtney during viewing a video about womanhood. Freaking out over the birth scene, showing us that her family is way overprotective and not knowing the simple things in life.
But in the end The Foutleys for their good karma now live in a life of luxury as Lois Foutley married a doctor. As for the Griplings the family has lost everything due to Mr. Gripling's ponzi scheme. Thus have to live in a life of middle class and now has moved into the Foutleys old house.
