Nickelodeon (or Nick) is an American cable and satellite television network. The network launched on December 1, 1977 then known as QUBE's C-3 channel. The name was changed to Nickelodeon on April 1, 1979. The network is owned by Paramount Global.

The company rose to fame in the 1990s for producing many animated and live action TV shows such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, The Ren & Stimpy Show, All That, Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Clarissa Explains It All among others. As Told By Ginger was produced and distributed at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio which is located in Burbank, California. The show has aired on Nick and many of its sister channels and program blocks such as Nicktoons (channel), TEENick, The Splat (now NickRewind) and Nick on CBS.

As Told By Ginger's original run aired on Nickelodeon and its sister channels from October 25, 2000 to November 14, 2006. Heat Lightning was the last episode to premiere on Nickelodeon. Stuff'll Kill Ya and Ten Chairs premiered on Nickelodeon's sister channel, Nicktoons. On October 22 and 23 of 2016, DetentionKiss Today GoodbyeA Lesson in Tightropes and Dodie's Big Break premiered on Nickelodeon's TeenNick (now defunct) late night block, NickRewind (formerly known as NickSplat, The Splat and The 90's Are All That). Battle of the Bands and The Wedding Frame have premiered internationally, but they remain unaired on television in the United States. However, they're available to stream on Paramount+.

In As Told By Ginger, a humorous quote from the episode is always played during the Nickelodeon closing logo. (Except for in Hello Stranger, where wind whistling and crickets chirping are played instead.)
