Ja'Net DuBois (August 5, 1945 – February 18, 2020) was an American actress and singer, best known for her roles as Mrs. Avery in The PJs, Viola Battle in Waterproof, Grandma Ellington in The Wayans Bros., Carol and Judith Potter in Home Improvement, Evelyn Hopkins in The Love Boat, Willona Woods in Good Times, Onetha Wiggins in The Sophisticated Gents, and several others.
She provided the voice of Mrs. Patterson. She provided the voice of Linda in "Never Can Say Goodbye."
