I Spy a Witch is the Halloween special and the thirteenth episode of the first season, which was broadcast on October 26, 2001.

Synopsis[]

Ginger is framed for vandalizing the school statue and is denied her part as lead in the school musical, when it was really Miranda and Mipsy! Carl is having trouble coming up with a prank that is good enough to scare his mom for Halloween, so he calls Maude back from the dead to help. Principal Milty tells Ginger that she isn’t allowed to be the lead in the school musical and she is heartbroken which has Miranda be the understudy. On Halloween night, Maude’s ghost arrives to The Foutley Home to tell Lois that Ginger was framed for the prank at school and has a picture of Miranda turning the school statue into a witch and leaves.

Lois gives the photo to Ginger and she hurries to the school before the end of the show. Darren gives Ginger a townsperson’s costume and exposes Miranda for her prank. Miranda denies it and Ginger leads the rest of the cast in singing “I Spy a Witch” and Miranda admits to what she’s done with Dodie saying the last lines of the play ending the show and the audience clapping for everyone. It’s implied that Miranda got in trouble with the principal and was suspended.
