Chet Zipper is a student at Lucky Jr. High. He and Dodie became friends than later boyfriend and girlfriend then become husband and wife in the future.

In Of Lice and Friends, Principal Milty addresses the students in the cafeteria for the new morning announcement person. He welcomes Chet to the stage for him to announce the new person. Chet begins by saying he enjoys making the morning announcements every morning and afternoon. The students quickly get bored and start yawning. He draws a name from bowl and says the new morning announcement person is Dodie Bishop. He walks off the stage with Mrs. Fleming to let Dodie have her moment.
In Come Back Little Seal Girl, he comes out on stage at the auditorium. He introduces himself to the audience by saying his name and saying he's a part-time 7th grader. He claims he‘s a full time funny man. He asks how the audience is doing tonight but they don't respond. He then proceeds to tell a joke about parents. After a student named Morty Binkerton finishes playing his clarinet, he introduces the next act which is Courtney's World. After their act ends, he introduces Macie's act as the Little Seal Girl. At the end of the talent show, Chet announces the winner of the talent show is Macie.
In I Spy a Witch, Principal Milty admires how Chet is painting one of the trees. Chet says he was going to use the roller but he couldn't because it was broken. The next day, he‘s seen setting up the stage as Miss. Zorski continues rehearsing with students.
In Piece of My Heart, he’s in Mr. Cilia's class as Dodie she's going to the dance with him. Later in the episode, he and Dodie arrive at the dance. They both compliment each other's outfits. He wants to go in before the cold cuts are gone. Dodie thought he put in too much hair gel, but he claims Darren likes it. They’re seen dancing together in the gym. Dodie offers to have Chet dance with Macie until her mystery man arrives but she passes. They both go back to dance. When the mystery man (Hoodsey) arrives, they go over to see him but he runs off.
In Season of Caprice, his parents dropped him off at Spengler Military Academy along with Miranda and Darren.
In Love With a Proper Transfer Student, he’s reading lines from the play Mambo in the Catskills with Mipsy Mipson. He reads some of his lines in his own words which Mipsy quickly points out. Miss. Zorski tells him not to butcher the script. Chet tells her he was improvising his words. The next day, he practices his lines with Mipsy. He starts out well and then he asks Macie for his line. Mipsy says she can't work because he's unprofessional. Miss. Zorski then calls for a break.
At the beginning of Family Therapy, Chet stands on stage at the auditorium and announces the birthdays for each student. The first one he reads is Leon Joanna whose birthday is April 3rd. She’s turning 12. The next student is Gustavo Enriquez. His birthday is April 9th. He announces Macie and Mipsy's birthday which are both on April 22nd. He concludes the announcements and the students leave. Chet appears at Macie's birthday party as he successfully breaks a piñata.
In Next Question, Chet is sitting in Mr. Gardner's class as he is asking questions to his students. After Ginger answers a question right, Mr. Gardner asks what year Abraham Lincoln was elected into office. Chet presses the bell but he doesn't know the answer. Mr. Gardner tells him he's supposed buzz in if he knows the answer and not before. He asks the question again and Chet gives the answer 1860 which is correct. The next day at lunch, Macie tells Chet how she broke her arm. He asks what we're they doing. Dodie says it was part of a workout routine and leave it at that. Chet accepts it and walks away. He competes in the competition the next day.
In Driven to Extremes, he impersonates one of the substitute teachers they've had in the past. As Chet leaves the room, he sees Mrs. Grimley and goes back in the classroom. Later in the episode, Chet clears his throat as Mrs. Grimley gives him an unfair amount of words to write for an essay. The next day, he enters the classroom a minute late and when Miranda decides that everyone in the class should get revenge on Mrs. Grimley, Chet says that he’s a total pacifist. He goes with the other students to try to get even with Mrs. Grimley.
In Detention, he walks by Dodie and Macie and he isn't fooled by Dodie's disguise. In the epilogue of The Wedding Frame, he‘s seen sitting next to Dodie with their daughter as they listen to Ginger read from her book.

Chet has worn a number of outfits in the series. His main outfit is a purple shirt with a long yellow sleeve shirt underneath. His pants are brown and his shoes are black and white.
Personality []
Chet is a kind and relaxed person. He's an easy going individual and he doesn't cause any trouble. He is very mellow and laid back.

Dodie Bishop: He went with her to the Sadie Hawkins dance in Piece of My Heart. They had a good time and danced together. They’re seen together in the epilogue of The Wedding Frame as husband and wife with their daughter.

- The family vehicle appears to be a light green SUV with design cues from a 1992-2001 Isuzu Trooper and a 1988-1999 Mazda MPV. In Season of Caprice, his parents drop him off at Spengler Military Academy in this vehicle. The episode takes place in the summer of 2001, so this vehicle would be appropriate and period correct for a middle-class family at the time.
