Blake's tonsils were one of Carl's artifacts. They are featured
occasionally throughout the series. It all began after Blake had his tonsillectomy in Dare I, Darren? After the procedure, Carl and Hoodsey found Blake's tonsils in a jar and kept it with them.
In the episode, Winston tells Carl and Hoodsey that Blake is being hospitalized for his tonsils. After the boys find out, they go to the hospital to see him. After Carl and Hoodsey try to butter up to Blake to borrow his telescope, Blake gives them a resounding no. After the boys find Blake's tonsils in the histology room, they go to Blake to let him know they are keeping his tonsils. Back at the doghouse, Carl and Hoodsey revel at the tonsils.
In April's Fools, Carl tricks Blake into thinking he sold his tonsils to a witch doctor as an April fools joke. Blake tries to brush it off as an April's fools joke but he soon begins to freak out. The next day Carl and Hoodsey tell Blake it was only joke but to no avail. They eventually decide to give him the tonsils. However, they learn that Joann threw them out so they go to the garbage dump to get them back. Hoodsey and Carl asked Dwayne if he has seen the tonsils. He gives directions to tell them where to go. After talking to Blake on their walkie-talkie, the boys continue to search for the tonsils. They eventually find the tonsils and Dwayne gives them a ride back home.
In Butterflies Are Free, Blake, Brandon, Carl and Hoodsey each give their items back to each other. When Blake gets his tonsils back he embraces them. When it comes time to put items in the time capsule, Blake reminisces his tonsillectomy before putting them in the capsule. Blake goes up to put his tonsils in along with Brandon, Carl and Hoodsey placing their items in. Polly Shuster tried to dig up th items until the four of them came by to stop her.
